Vice President of Business Strategy

Position Summary
The Vice President of Business Strategy is one of two institutional vice presidents and will spearhead company-wide planning, development, implementation and continuous improvement of new and existing business strategies. The person selected for this dynamic and challenging opportunity will plan for an expanded portfolio of products and services to achieve annual sales and growth metrics and better serve MVU clients. Blended Learning Coach

Position Summary
The Blended Learning Coach’s role is to work directly with MVU’s Professional Learning Services team, specifically supporting K-12 blended learning initiatives. In this role, the coach will act as a change agent by promoting, developing, and helping to implement blended learning strategies in districts, schools and with teachers. The coach supports student achievement by providing direct support to administrators, department chairs and teachers. The Blended Learning Coach will provide outreach, professional development and conference presentations for K-12 teachers and administrators in Michigan. The coach will provide group and one-to-one instructional design coaching to teachers as they work to transform their lessons to a blended learning format, which will involve scheduled travel to school districts throughout the state.

Customer Care Representative (two positions)

Position Summary
The Customer Care Representative builds positive relationships with diverse groups of stakeholders, students, parents, teachers and staff. This position delivers unified and cohesive customer service regarding MVU products and services on a daily basis. This position complies with MVU regulations, quality standards, and customer service practices and protocols. The representative navigates a variety of software applications and technologies to deliver information and training to customers in all MVU products and services. Customer Care Representatives work a standard schedule, Monday through Friday, of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Employees will be assigned a shift within these hours with a possibility of working overtime during peak periods.

Learning Applications Specialist

Position Summary
The Learning Applications Specialist is responsible for executing the successful day-to-day operation, maintenance and support of the learning applications used by MVU. These efforts will include working collaboratively with appropriate stakeholders in identifying the educational needs of programs or services and leveraging the available tools, processes, and procedures to successfully support those needs. Other key duties include providing Tier 2 customer care support and providing general support and coordination of projects, events and meetings.

Director of Technology Integrations

Position Summary
The Director of Technology Integrations is responsible for the overall leadership and guidance of the Integrations Services team towards the integration of systems and solutions to create a unified platform of tools supporting the operations of MVU. These efforts will include working collaboratively with appropriate stakeholders in identifying business needs and aligning technology tools, processes, and procedures to successfully support those needs. This position will lead significant continuous improvement efforts to enable data-driven decision making across the organization. This will include managing every step of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) while creating and distributing both technical and end user documentation and reports.

Part-Time Instructors

Position Summary
Part-time instructors plan, organize and deliver an instructional program that has already been developed and aligned to state standards. Feedback is provided by the instructor in an online environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The instructor will be working in a part-time status and is required to provide academic support to approximately 70 students maximum for semester, 57 students maximum for trimester and 47 students maximum for summer in a variety of courses at varying levels of complexity. This position requires daily work (Monday-Friday) with established office hours defined for students from multiple Michigan schools. This position requires logging into class daily, response to students, mentors, parents or stakeholders within 24 hours, and scoring of student assignments within 96 hours of submission Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will be required to deliver instruction in a specific content area using MVS course materials. This position is based on a term-by-term appointment with no more than 19 hours per week. Part-time instructors will be assigned to work from home but will also be required to attend several professional development sessions throughout the year to include: Pre-MACUL (March) and Collaboration of the Minds (August), as a minimum.

Certification
All MVU instructors must be highly qualified and Michigan certified in their content areas.
