Learning Applications Specialist

Position Summary
The Learning Applications Specialist is responsible for executing the successful day-to-day operation, maintenance and support of the learning applications used by MVU. These efforts will include working collaboratively with appropriate stakeholders in identifying the educational needs of programs or services and leveraging the available tools, processes, and procedures to successfully support those needs. Other key duties include providing Tier 2 customer care support and providing general support and coordination of projects, events and meetings.

Director of Technology Integrations

Position Summary
The Director of Technology Integrations is responsible for the overall leadership and guidance of the Integrations Services team towards the integration of systems and solutions to create a unified platform of tools supporting the operations of MVU. These efforts will include working collaboratively with appropriate stakeholders in identifying business needs and aligning technology tools, processes, and procedures to successfully support those needs. This position will lead significant continuous improvement efforts to enable data-driven decision making across the organization. This will include managing every step of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) while creating and distributing both technical and end user documentation and reports.

Professional Learning Coach

Position Summary
The Professional Learning Coach’s role is to work directly with the online professional development, blended learning and iPD teams, supporting online and blended professional learning initiatives. In this role, the coach will act as a change agent by promoting, developing and helping to implement adult professional learning strategies online and face to face. The coach supports student achievement by providing direct support to administrators, department chairs and teachers. The Professional Learning Coach will provide outreach, professional development and conference presentations for K-12 teachers and administrators in Michigan. The coach will provide group and one-to-one instructional design coaching to teachers as they work to transform their lessons to a blended and/or online learning format.

Administrative Assistant

Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides high-level, day-to-day executive support to the Executive Director of Student Learning Services. This position is a key member of the office support team which promotes consistency in core duties under the administrative guidance of the Office Manager. The position facilitates office services through implementation of administrative systems, procedures, policies and monitoring of executive projects. These responsibilities include administrative support of various levels and are based on prioritized need, requiring the ability to multi-task on a regular basis. Sales Representative - Northern Region

Position Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for all sales and user adoption activities, from lead generation through close of sale in the assigned territory. The sales representative also assists the Director of Sales and Marketing in the department effort to meet the annual business goal of expanding our customer base for both divisions and increasing revenue. The sales representative will work with other territory sales representatives, and other MVU marketing and customer care team members for the achievement of revenue generation, customer satisfaction, increased use of products/services and long-term goals.

iEducator Instructors (Middle/High School Level)

Position Summary
iEducator Instructors plan, organize and deliver an instructional program that has already been developed and aligned to state standards. Feedback is provided by the instructor in an online environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. This position requires daytime work Monday-Friday (8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) with students from multiple Michigan schools. The successful candidate will be required to deliver instruction in specific content areas (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies or Electives) using MVS course materials already created by our Instructional Design team. The instructor will be required to provide academic support to students enrolled in a variety of courses at varying levels of complexity. This is a two-year commitment with courses taught during the fall, spring and summer terms. Candidates must successfully complete the iEducator Onboarding Course. Instructors will be assigned to work from home but will also be required to attend meetings at the Lansing office on a regular basis ranging from one to two days per month.

Part-Time Instructors

Position Summary
Part-time instructors plan, organize and deliver an instructional program that has already been developed and aligned to state standards. Feedback is provided by the instructor in an online environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The instructor will be working in a part-time status and is required to provide academic support to approximately 70 students maximum for semester, 57 students maximum for trimester and 47 students maximum for summer in a variety of courses at varying levels of complexity. This position requires daily work (Monday-Friday) with established office hours defined for students from multiple Michigan schools. This position requires logging into class daily, response to students, mentors, parents or stakeholders within 24 hours, and scoring of student assignments within 96 hours of submission Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will be required to deliver instruction in a specific content area using MVS course materials. This position is based on a term-by-term appointment with no more than 19 hours per week. Part-time instructors will be assigned to work from home but will also be required to attend several professional development sessions throughout the year to include: Pre-MACUL (March) and Collaboration of the Minds (August), as a minimum.

Certification
All MVU instructors must be highly qualified and Michigan certified in their content areas.
